Yesterday, the CES 2012 Hot Stuff awards were announced, and Xperia S smartphone was one of the winners, and we are not only really proud but really excited!

The Hot Stuff awards are given by the UK’s leading gadget magazine Stuff, to the 10 most desirable, most exciting and most innovative products to launch at 2012 CES. The awards were decided by the team of  editors from the magazine, and its web counterpart ww.Stuff.tv.

This year, among the winners we could see tablets, headphones with great design, ultrabooks, TVs,  a fridge and even a Vynil player. Want to see the complete list of the winners? Check it here.

This week, Xperia S was also nominated for CNET’s Best in CES 2012 Awards and came as second place in the People’s Voice award, thanks to your votes!

it’s a very difficult decision of sony, I think that the phone is very similar than xperia s, the unique thing that lack at the phone is the multimedia dock, and sony produces only for Xperia the Smartdock, which is very important for the other phone, if the smartdock become compliant with Xperia S, the phone would be perfect…

    yes it is nice congratulations
    but first correct Xperia ray
    1. Camera – big bad photo compression (compression option to add: very / little)
    2. Automatic Light Sensor Xperia Ray does not work OK – regulation is minimal
    3. Flash is not an option for automatic flash

I really love the handset as it resembles my Satio.
Hope that it has a better Camera… really miss the Xenon Flash. :P

I want this in the US also. at&t gouged with their ripoff “unlimited” data plan. So I reverted back to a feature phone plan on my unlocked Arc. Here on in,I refuse to get another branded mobile!! I like Sony Ericsson,so that is what I am sticking with. I like the S,and I want that available later this year!!!

Now this is one badass phone. Very tempting since I have been doubting whether or not to give Apple a try this year. But I *am* quite pleased with my Xperia arc, so Sony might still persuade me to pick another xperia…

When is this beast of a phone coming to South Africa, and if it does come to S.A I dont want it on the vodacom network as vodacom just adds it’s useless things on the phone and the whole interface is ruined. I want it the way it is from You(Sony) to ME.
