Fresh from the Miami Masters!

March 27, 2012 - 1:18 PM

As you may or may not know, we’re currently down at Biscayne Bay for the 2012 Miami Masters!

I say “we”, but not me personally, needless to say my colleagues in attendance have been making me a little jealous with their stories from the ground ;-)

The tournament has been running for more than 25 years, and ALWAYS attracts tennis’ cream-of-the-crop – previous winners have included tennis legends, Martina Navratilova, Steffi Graf, Andre Agassi, Venus Williams, Pete Sampras and Roger Federer.

This year’s tournament has been all thrills-and-spills so far; Andy Roddick recently defeated Roger Federer in the third round, and Serena Williams had to dig deep to defeat Sam Stosur in a rematch of the 2011 US Open final – keep up with all the action as it unfolds on Twitter.

That’s not all – as the tournament launched last Monday, so did Virtua Tennis Challenge; the first ever mobile iteration of SEGA’s famous franchise, acing exclusively onto Xperia, optimized for Xperia PLAY!

We’ve (as Sony Ericsson) sponsored the Miami Masters for many years, and during this upcoming finals weekend, we’ll (Sony Mobile Communications) be announcing the new, future tournament name – I’ll keep you posted on that right here on the blog!

It’s nice to see pictures of Tennis stars but I think readers of this blog are more interested right now in finding out the status of ICS upgrade. Are you on track to start releasing the upgrade for the end of March?

Summer was ended and ICS melts with the rain.

Xperia phones were already PlayStation™ Certified and other brands may install apps just like it!

How can Xplay stand up in the crowd? just for its button? haha. LOL

If Sony cannot make it into ICS for Xplay, why not develop GB instead…
Atleast it will make difference rather than having 2.3.4 and also some brands got 2.3.7…

And by the way, Also read a post that from verizon that R trigger can be used as camera capture button > http://www.androidcentral.com/sony-xperia-play-verizon-getting-updated-still-not-ics

    What about it?

    Nice one SONY
