Software update for SmartWatch! [Updated]
Today, Sony SmartWatch gets a software update.
First off, we’re enhancing the watch face so that it’s always visible, even in standby – you guys fed back on this issue and we understood it was an essential area for improvement.
We’ve also enhanced usage support in the SmartWatch application and Endomondo Sports Tracker is now available in the recommended applications list… so there really is no excuse to not get fit for summer!
We’ve tweaked and made a number of improvements to Music Player, Weather and most third-party apps (meaning they run much quicker and smoother), whilst ironing out and giving you a number of bug and stability fixes.
The update is available from Google play, but current SmartWatch users will receive a notification in their Android Smartphone when it becomes available.

[UPDATE] After receiving feedback on our SmartWatch software update 1.2, it has come to our knowledge that a few of you are experiencing some functionality problems after installation.

The latest update broke my dad’s SmartWatch – it’s restarting as soon as it connects to his phone (HTC One X). I tried it on with my phone and I couldn’t even find it via bluetooth!
I tried to restart the watch in every way possible, unpaired it with my dad’s phone, reinstalled the LiveWare and SmartWatch apps.. no use.
I see from the Play Store comments that some people are suffering from the same issue with Galaxy S2 and Sensation 4G.
You need to push an update that fixes this! My SmartWatch is now useless!

This morning (May 31 2012), I awoke to a new version of the SmartWatch software. It offered to push new firmware to the device. After the flash (which went normally), the watch reboots EVERY time the screen wakes up. The market is full of people who are furious.
I tried to fix this by fully removing SmartWatch and LiveWare software. I Deleted the Bluetooth entry on the phone. Did the 20 second reset on the watch. Re-installed SmartWatch and LiveWare, re-paired BlueTooth. I disabled ALL addons. Watch still reboots every time it wakes up.
Is there a way to force a reflash or even a downgrade flash?
