Xperia™ V’s sensor on lens touch technology

September 11, 2012 - 3:01 PM
19 comments

Guys,

Did you know Xperia V lets you directly touch images, almost as if they were real…

A week or two ago at IFA we announced Xperia V – a smart, sleek and durable LTE smartphone featuring HD screen, HD camera and the highest level of water resistance on a smartphone.

That’s not mention the built-in signature Sony technologies and cool features including, Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA® Engine (with Xperia V the first Xperia smartphone to introduce Moible BRAVIA® Engine 2), NFC and an easy-on-the eye design.

But… Xperia V breaks new ground with sensor on lens touch technology – giving you superior image quality and a direct touch experience that makes things feel lifelike, almost as if you are actually touching the image itself.

My colleagues at Developer World have taken a more in-depth look, so head on over to check it out!

Ant.

Hey Ant there’s something bothering me about Making such a great Phone which I’m 90% leaning towards getting the phone, but one think making me think twice (Which doesn’t make sense to me) …Why does Sony always come short somewhere with their products, something’s always has to be missing, like a TV dock?? The Xperia T has the same connectivity as the V…Sony decides to make a TV dock for the T but not the V?? I don’t understand how does anyone forget such an important accessory for a high end phone like that. Maybe you can enlighten me?

Well done sony for finally coming up with a quality phones, with great built materials for the androids to finally rival the “i”. The other competition just makes toys smartphones.. Shame..
    Sony. Keep up!!

I hope the next wave of xperia can focus on or work towards the following:
The exciting colors, lights and quality
The forte of Sony Camera and Sound quality.
Camera: faster snaps, very low lighting shootablity (example:in the clubs) possibly without flash and high optical zooms.
Haven’t u guys aware that front facing camera is so important? People love the ability to self-snap and be able to see their position from the screens, but what u have now is just vga qualities.
Either have a camera that is rotate-able or bump up the quality of front facing cameras. I guarantee it will be a seller..

Sound quality wise, i wish there are more types of headphones with good/fantastic sound qualities, that are bluetooth, so tht i can pare to my xperia, especially headphones that are on ear n over ear.

If u like the feedback, drop me a msg.. Well wishes sony!!

Hey Kevin – like the feedback, thank you!

It’s been noted, and I’ll pass it on to my relevant colleagues.

Did you know Xperia T comes with a sweet front-facing camera that shoots in full 720p HD? ;-)

Hey Anthony you only reply back to people who praise your company? You don’t like criticism? If you don’t know the answer to something you can simply say you don’t know and will forward the question! I understand you can’t replay to everyone’s questions but I believe mine is a valid one (I’m the guy who asked about the TV dock) Don’t you think?

I’ll be looking to complain to your head office on how you conduct your work on this forum….

          Hey Calvin,

I listen and recognise every single piece of feedback, and consider criticism more useful than praise.

Apologies I missed it, but to answer your TV Dock question – each Xperia smartphone is created individually to suit your lifestyle, personality, creativity and imagination, so different products have varying features, functionality, capability etc.

          Hope that’s useful,

          Ant.

Who cares about this fancy stuff, when IT’S ALREADY AUTUMN AND WE STILL HAVE NO ICS FOR SOLA?
Sony said it will roll out in summer, and yet here we are, half of September is already behind, STILL NO ANDROID 4.0!
We’ll have it when all other world will use, like, Android version 8 or 10 or whatever?
With this attitude Sony has created a crappy crappy publicity image for itself.
Millions of dissapointed XPERIA owners won’t buy anything from Sony again.

I am using this brand from several years. And now they launch very interesting features in which we can touch the image like we touch them in real. So I think it will be amazing experience for user. Also a water resistive and single touch walkman application is the high light of this model. So thumbs up for this cell phone.

When Xperia V is gonna be released in Europe? No ETA, info, or something about that?

I really love the design and specs for this phone and I would love to know how much time I need to wait.
