Announcing Xperia™ AX for the Japanese market
Hello everyone!
A heads-up for our readers in Japan – we’re excited to announce Xperia AX; a new LTE enabled Xperia smartphone launching before year’s end.
A market variant of Xperia V, Xperia AX is fluent in our arc design language (to fit snugly in the hand), and comes with the highest levels of dust and water resistance.
Xperia AX will feature popular Japan-specific features such as: infrared port data exchange, mobile wallet and mobile TV…
But, that’s not all:
- 4.3″ HD Reality Display screen, powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2
- 13 MP fast-capture camera with new shooting modes; Superior Auto feature, enabling low-light snapping and Picture Effect that lets you preview snaps using different effects
- Sony’s signature tune-tech, including ClearAudio+ mode for aural clarity
- Sony’s media applications; WALKMAN®, Album and Movies
- Ships running Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich
Xperia AX is also NFC enabled – allowing you to enjoy photos and music through an effortless ‘One-touch’ share, doing away with the need for clumsy pairing processes.
For example, you can turn-up-the-volume by touching Xperia AX to MDR-1RBT Prestige headphones and SRS-BTM8/SRS-BTV5 Wireless speaker. Or, how about touching to VAIO Duo 11 or VAIO Tap 20 and easily sending URL info to browse the same webpage from your Xperia AX – pretty cool, right?!
Ant.

ant: the weekend is over. The Q3 is over. When Xperia U have ics update? Nowhere in the world has received the update. So do not say that the rollout started Friday. When you start the rollout?
-

The most awfull thing it´s not that we don´t get the update yet, (U users), the most awfull thing is that they are lying, they keep saying, that is already out in some regions and things like that…Unbelievable!
Apparently until Wednesday we won´t get the update…Well if they don´t care about all the bad publicity…ok

You people just keep on releasing new mobiles and variants, what about U/SOLA which were due to receive ICS in q3, have you really forgotten that, and don’t say that the rollout has begin blah blah…when xperia P ICS started to roll out, everyone got ICS the next day. What is the reason that you are constantly trying to ignore us ? Not a single time have we received any announcement/comment which has proven to be true. PLEASE GIVE US A REASON WHY ARE YOU LYING TO YOUR CUSTOMERS????

Come on SONY, don’t you people think you have gone way too far ahead by not releasing the ICS update for the Xperia U and SOLA.
Now which is the excuse you want to give your users…….
…….
……….
…………..
………………….
……………………….OH !!!! i hear the reason in a very soft voice, they have “wait for it” messed up the ICS UPDATE for Sony Xperia U and Sola again.
This is highly unprofessional from SONY and its entire team for,
1. Not releasing the ICS update even though it has been certified by PCTRB
2. Also not stating the exact reason why you are not able to release the updateCome on SONY, at least say the truth, why is it taking so long for you people to release the UPDATE. Come on “Don’t be SHY” like a girl.
-
Yeah, of course, new phones, but what about the old ones, you don´t care? The ICS update is already out for Go and Sola, and Xperia U users are still waiting!!!!!!
You just declare yourself a non trust company! -

I wish Sony would stop announcing their products so early. A quarter of a year is an eternity in the mobile industry, and hearing a phone will come before the end of the year with no word on pre-orders doesn’t get people excited.
I wish it was more like “this will be in stores next week, pre-orders starting now”. As it stands I’m waiting for an Xperia V at some unspecified date before year end. If a better phone from another manufacturer launches in the meantime I could easily find myself getting that instead.

Sony messed up with phone manufacturing and marketing. Month back they announced Xperia T Xperia V and Xperia J, which is not a suitable combination, as Xperia T was out with out 4G LTE, now they have annouced Xperia TL 4G LTE with same features of T apart from 4G LTE, naturally customers ( If likes ) goes for TL which is advanced then T, what is the necessary for T ( Trying to distract Customer ? ). The ridiculous thing is both does’t hit shelves so far and Sony announces TL will hit shelves in the month of December with ICS, so Jelly bean is Dream Never Come Ture for sony lovers
Xperia Tipo, Tipo Dual, Xperia T, V ,J , Xperia AX, Xperia TL non of them hit shelves far due to sony manufacturing and technology gaps.
SO MANY SMARTPHONES SO MANY BLOGS SO MANY FALSE PROMISES SO MANY UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER
SONY CANNOT ATTRACT WITH THIS KIND OF JOKER ACT.
Release updates for the phones that are on shelves and with sony customers. make them feel good. Work hard on your slogan ( make. believe ) is true.

For the god’s sake, stop making more smartphones, sony. The company MUST focus on software updates of the currently smarts.
Where’s the announce of JB for 2011? 18 monts support? For now, it’s only in my dreams. It was louvable to give ICS to 2011 line, but ICS if simply a fiasco. If one can run ICS, one can run JB.
Sony, forget the ICS think and skip it. Just focus in the launch of JB to 2011-2012… And stop making MORE SMARTPHONES. -

Stop releasing phones, you are not able to keep up with what you already have and you keep releasing phones.
Ice Cream Sandwich was released almost a year ago!! A YEAR!!! And you still have 2012 phones running Gingerbread.Google has asked members of the Open Handset Alliance to deliver an 18 month software update span on ALL their phones. Sony is a member and is nowhere near delivering!!! Why is Sony even a member then if they are not willing to do their part?
You don’t even have to develop the OS, Google does it for you. The time Sony takes for updates is just inexcusable considering that Google delivers you with a finished OS.
If you want to take 5 years to update the Walkman app then do as you wish, but don’t hold the OS update back just to wait for your proprietary apps to be finished.
My phone is more than capable of running Jelly Bean, it’s a dual core for crying out loud, and you guys have it running on Gingerbread!!! An OS from 2010!!
Start listening to your customers while you still can or you will disappear from the mobile market because when people ask Sony phone owners what Sony is like we will just have to say “They make great hardware, but they don’t care about keeping the software updated, they don’t even try bro, if you love Android go get another brand”
I know that blog managers and Facebook managers can’t change Sony, but I’m sure you guys have bosses to scale these problems to, let them know people are pissed off and all around not happy with Sony’s OS update performance and customer support silence. Not updating ALL your 2012 phones to Jelly Bean and Key Lime Pie is unacceptable performance if Sony wants to stay alive, because other manufacturers will and we will move to them.
