Kicking off Sony’s Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) rollout for Xperia J
Hello everyone, a quick note to let you know about the Jelly Bean Android 4.1 upgrade for Xperia J – rolling out now and ramping up over the coming weeks*.
Notable new features include: Quick Settings, giving you easier access to customization options and Sony Select, the second iteration of our “Recommender” that features our weekly picks of killer apps, games and music.
As soon as the new software is available for your device, you’ll receive a notification in your phone. In most cases you’ll have the option to download and update over-the-air, but in some instances the software package may only be accessible via PC Companion or Bridge for Mac.

I updated the software: 11.2.A.0.21 – v4.1.2 (jelly bean), but I do with 512MB RAM memory reduced to 380MB. How can I go back to the previous version of the software 11.0.A.7.5 – 4.0.4. Please Help!

io ho gia cambiato cellulare perchè sono molto deluso da sony ho pagato 650 euro il xperia s il top della gamma!! E aggiornano prima le riserve della gamma il J!! e facendo un giro in internet sono in tanti ad essere delusi per questo motivo! E anche per questo motivo oggi ho comprato la concorrenza e non il Z! Peccato mi piace davvero troppo lo Z! Xò basta!!

You don’t have to wait for the answer from SONY, because they’ve already told that there won’t be update for Arc S. Here is the official statement about which phones will be updated and there is clearly said that 2011 smartphones will stay with ICS:

Few days ago updated my xperia J. Project butter does the job. Phone works a lot smoother and still has more than 100mb free ram. After update never crashed (before – once a day or two).
No games on my phone so can’t say anything about it.

Sony mobile is one of the most unprofessional companies around it has totally washed its hands of the xperia 2012 lineup especially xperia U even after officially releasing a firmware upgrade in december 2012 its yet to reach the hapless consumers these people(at Sony) have become absolutely arrogant in their attitude towards users of the Xperia U, they want them to suffer for having opted to buy a sony Mobile but you only get burnt once ……..

What a Fuck!!!!!! I’m very disappointed for the Xperia TX jelly bean update that you did! Don’t you know that all of TX users are still waiting for the update?????? No announcement, No detail schedule, don’t you remember you said on your statement just few weeks ago????? You said that Xperia V,T,TX is the first group to receive Jelly bean update, that is the reason I bought TX, but right now you are updating Xperia J!!!!! if you think TX is not your main line product, WHY DO YOU SELL IT ??
