Planet Earth, a marathon winner and the world’s largest pillow fight

What a week. We celebrated Earth Day, saw our Sony ambassador, Meb Keflezighi win the Boston Marathon on Monday, and we also managed to sneak in a trip to the world’s largest pillow fight in Trafalgar Square, London.

We couldn’t be prouder of Mr Keflezighi; not only is he the first American man to win the Boston Marathon since 1983, but he also ran a personal best time; 2 hours, 8 mins, 37 secs. That’s fast. Real fast.

Meb has been a devotee and advocate for Sony’s Sports MP3 Player for the past few years and trains day in day out with his Walkman W. As Meb put it, “Running and music go hand and hand”. We couldn’t agree more.

Friday Roundup - Spidey SquareFrom one celebration to another now as this week we celebrated Earth Day 2014. At Sony, we sent our resident eco-hero Spider-Man to help out with some recycling – check out some of the other cool pictures we shared on our Facebook page.

From a worthy cause to a pointless (but fun) one now; check out the video above to see what happened when we sent Xperia Z2 down to Trafalgar Square to take part in the world’s largest pillow fight…

And last, but by no means least, make sure you check out this week’s Take Out . It’s a cracker, featuring Jon Favreau’s latest taco-based movie, a funny fella called Helium Harvey and Petite Meller’s latest remix, Backpack.

Over and out.
