A great year for Xperia gaming

As every gamer knows, the holiday season is prime time when it comes to new releases. So, it has been a pretty intense couple of months for the Xperia Games team, lining up a killer selection of fully-optimized content for Xperia PLAY owners to enjoy over the festive period.

We couldn’t have reached this milestone without the many friendships we’ve made and built along the way. From our launch with 60 titles back in March, we’re now working with over 85 developers and publishers, reflecting the richness of talent currently working in the mobile games space. And thanks to them, there will now be over 200 fully-optimized Xperia PLAY titles (and counting…) for you to enjoy as you recover from all that turkey and excess!

Whether you are downloading AAA games from titans like EA, Konami, Gameloft and Square Enix or discovering the best in indie Android talent, you’ll find the cream of the crop on Xperia PLAY.

So as the Christmas party season kicks off, we’d like to raise a glass to them. We’ve published a list here below of all the titles you’ll be able to get hold of by the time it comes to unwrapping your presents. Call it a roll of honour, if you like. You can of course find more details on the games throughout this blog, and we’ll be adding more over the next few weeks.

But, we also raise our festive cups to you, the gamers. Without you, none of this would be as much fun. We hope you enjoy this selection as much as we have.

The year isn’t quite over yet, but it has been an incredible journey for us; we wanted to create a new market and satisfy gamers’ appetites for high-quality, no-compromise mobile smartphone gaming. We believe we’ve raised the bar. But we’re not finished yet. So as we head into the festive season, we’ll be looking ahead to an even more exciting 2012; more great titles, more great devices, more great gaming.
