Xperia™ Pureness announced today

This morning at an event highlighting our new brand direction and its alignment under Sony’s make.believe brand message we showed the next device to be launched under the XperiaTM brand to a select few journalists.

It’s called XperiaTM Pureness and will launch during November 2009. Pureness is a really simple design phone, based around the core concepts of talk text and time but dressed up in a highly designed, sculpted shell and created around the idea of the handset as a work of art.

We’ll announce more details closer to when the phone launches but for now feast your eyes on the images below.XperiaTM Pureness_Front_40Angle_i_BLACK_lit

The handset is the first of our second generation Xperia devices and will be the first to ship with the new Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system. It’ll also come packing an 8.1 megapixel camera, a 4Gb micro SD memory card and 13 pre-loaded panels.

We’ll be publishing the full list of specs later today along with some videos (and will update this with a link when we have.) You can also check out our Flickr account for some product shots) and follow our Twitter stream for some live coverage of Sony’s press conference later today.
