Another Cool App Demoed on X10

My friends over at the Sony Ericsson Developer World Youtube channel have made another video where they use the X10 to demonstrate a cool app available on Android Market. The app is an augmented reality app called Layar. I’ve tried it a bit also and think it’s a really cool thing. It really makes you think further on possibilities with mobile phones and gives a somewhat sci-fi “futurish” feeling :-)

There’s a huge amount of different layers for it developed already and the community around it is amazingly innovative.

You can find more to read about the app and the different layers at www.layar.com

Tutorial: Timescape

Even though there are quite some videos out there showing Timescape already I’ve made this tutorial to walk you through parts of it from a user perspective. It should also give a bit of an intro as to how it can be customized and chosen as default home screen.

As always, this is prototype HW and pre-release SW so expect general performance to improve and also other things might change on the way to launch.

Your feedback and questions is as usual highly appreciated, fire away in the comments section! :-)

Tutorial: Messaging in X10

Time has come for the next tutorial video. I recorded a short clip showing a bit on how messaging works in X10, both a bit on how messages look in Timescape but also from the ordinary “Messaging” way. It also shows the qwerty keypad, one note there is that there will be localised versions of the keyboard for different markets of course.

As usual this is all shown on a prototype X10 with pre-release SW so things may change until it’s released.
