@Rikard
Ive seen rumours around the net that a bluetooth headset with fm-radio will be bundled with the x10. Is it something you can confirm?:)

The huge 4 inch screen of XPERIA X10 of course is great for watching video. It’s both big enough to make it comfortable and has really high resolution to show all details. In the short tutorial here I show two different video services live in the X10. The first one is the SVT-play service offered on the mobile web page of Swedish public service TV - SVT. The other service shown is the included YouTube client. In that client there is an important option to really experience video in the best way, the option is to “Watch in high quality” which really makes a huge difference compared to the normal mobile service offered by YouTube.
Of course there are lots of other services out there besides these two, both local and global but at least it should give you an idea on what to expect from the screen and the video decoding and streaming capabilities. In my opinion it looks great!
As always please remember that these demos are on prototype hardware and pre-releae software so things might change until release.
The video below is unedited and shot with the Sony Ericsson Vivaz so it also gives you a feel for the 720 HD recording offered there! (remember to click “watch on Youtube and select 720p to see it in full quality)

@ Matey
It depends on the local market! And un-boxing tutorial rik did didn’t contain any MW-600!
So, i guess he can’t conform that.
But, i too believe it would be bundled along with x10 in most of the markets around the world.

@ freddy
All the links are almost same by Noc, as it was being caught by Spam filter he posted them again. ![]()
And yeah, you are right bout the TV out cable having very less usability.
But when you can play games like Speed Forge 3D on your HDTV by simply connecting your phone and using it as a remote control, it would be quite fun i guess.

Matey,
I guess you’re thinking of the MW600? http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/products/accessories/overview/mw600?cc=gb&lc=en
Can’t really give you a yes or no answer though since it depends on which market you’re on. It’s not in the default kit but here in the Nordics we will bundle it, at least in some markets/kits. I’m not fully updated on other markets though.

Taken from Scotsboy’s post on se-nse
The X10 has appeared on Carphone Warehouse’s internal system, although no stock exists for it and no prices have been setup yet. This usually means that the handset in question is around a month away, which would fit in with a late March/early April release. Coming sooner, apparently, is Vivaz, which has also appeared on Carphone Warehouse’s system. However, in the case of Vivaz pricing has been setup with the handset free on £25/month 2 year contracts. Given that pricing exists Vivaz could appear in stores as early as next week although a time-scale of 2 or 3 weeks is more likely.

Hmmm, looks like Rachael got explored much more than Satio did (and Satio did quite a bit).
Regarding the TV out, I think it’s not really a big deal. Satio has it, I even bough a special cable for it, but guess what, I haven’t used it a single time ![]()
There is no need really!
On such big screen sizes and high resolutions like in Satio or X10, it is not necessary to have, and carry such a cable with you.
Novica, it doesn’t hate you, it’s just plays tricks
Once it didn’t let me post my comment because autofill has put a different email of mine… Looks like we are linked to our emails ![]()
Anyway, any news about CorePlayer? How is the development going? Do you still work for CoreCodec?
Regarding the colour, I love the white one too! I don’t buy the argument that it is too much Apple
Rik, do you think that white colour will be available in all markets? Like in UK?
(last time UK didn’t get the nice colour being red
) The reason I ask is because it looks like I was a bit too late to apply for test piloting and my comment is a bit aboundoned in the last post. I simply thought that in that case I could buy one and do a review on it on the release date. Primarily I’d plan to keep my Satio, as I still love it so much, but who knows, perhaps I’ll fall in love with X10? ![]()
Anyway, I think many Android-scared people (‘my’ type of people) would certainly benefit from such an experience review. But for that (especially considering the fact there is a good chance I’d keep it and not resell it) I’d love to ‘hold’ a white one!
I know you’re never sure or cannot guarantee anything, but do you think that a white one will be available in the UK?
BTW congratulations for keeping this blog in the state it is! It certainly got mature since ‘the Satio times’. I think now it’s exactly what Joe Public is looking for
I know you have many helpers now, but you will always be the father of this blog
And your boss (you must have one, everyone does hehe) should really carry you on his hands for it!

Thanks for your reply Rikard, I really appreciate you noticing my comment.
The french review that is in a comment above states that the phone has 512MB of RAM, could you confirm this? Previously its I read it has 256mb of RAM.
The MW600 bundle sounds great, that’s what I want.

@Piotr: you don’t nostalgic. You are an important part of the Blog, as all of us. SO, I love the cyber-shot and Satio but, I like much xperia x10 design, is very sensual and captivates, grabs, kidnap You, is so executive and elegant.
@Fredrik, Pezt, zippiz: also, I listen to the same memory (512MB divided in 128MB for graphics and 256MB RAM). ¿¿¿¿Maybe Sumit or Rikard???

Thanks for the kind words!
Regarding the white color in UK I can’t say for sure but I would surely think it would be available from start.
