We launched this blog in September 2008 as an experiment to see how engaging with the wider blogosphere could broaden our horizons, get people talking and help our customers by providing them with more specialised information. We’ve had nearly a million hits and thousands of comments, it’s been a great learning curve for us and we hope the blog has proved useful to you.
However, the way we see the Xperia brand has changed significantly since we announced the Xperia X10, Xperia X10 mini and Xperia X10 mini pro. It’s now absolutely at the heart of our portfolio. So… it makes sense that we move the Xperia related content over to our new product blog in time for the X10 launch.
As of the first of April, we’ll shut this site down and move everything to blogs.sonyericsson.com/products then the posts from Aaron, Me, and the team at Wolfstar will continue there.

MR1 update isn`t ready. XPERIA X2 not even listed in Categories on the products blog page. Should that mean grand finale of X2 support?

Hah! That general products blog doesn’t even have a category for X2. Is SE really already trying to silence the discussion on how hard the phone and their service for it actually sucks? Like the announcement says “X10 is now absolutely heart of our portfolio” but it misses: “and we couldn’t keep the hasty promise about the software updates so we’ll just close down the official community and try to forget the whole embarrassment”.. Prove me wrong, please..

Your site now only talks about the X10, Ad Nauseam. I searched for X2 on the product blog and got NO HITS. Is this indicative of what will happen to the X2, i.e., being abandoned?
If so, then I will not buy another S-E phone for a very long time. On the other hand, if you manage to support the X2 (at least until it actually works well), then I may give you another chance.

I searched for Xperia X2 on the new blog and it goes straight to X10. There is no mention of X2 on the entire site. I check this page everyday in hope that there will be some update to sort out the bugs. I am truly relying on the team at SE to make this work. I look forward to seeing the updates in May. Thanks.

I’m a professional user, used to work with so many smartphones … I never ever will buy again a SE. The level of debugging for such a expensive piece of phone sucks (BT freezes, damn slow, GPS not working, …) moreover SE does not respect dates for upgrades (better should say corrections, not even an upgrade).
Yes, keep on supporting new X10 and abandone X2 … best thing you could do. You’ve lost one customer

Interesting; no MR1 update and there was a promised MR1 and MR2. I also went to the new Product Blog and no X2 category. I’ve written into several Cell Review sites (they reported on the X2 schedule Sony posted) to notify them about this seeming abandonment.
If a purchase was made based on the promise of upgrades and they don’t deliver; class action lawsuit.
