@kerry, try disabling your firewall and turning off the virus scanner if possible just for the duration of SEUS update.

Earlier this week I was contacted by Marcus and Albin, two Sonyericsson colleagues working in Lund, Sweden, who have had the good fortune of using the XPERIA X10 for a couple of months. As a summary of some of their experiences they wanted to do a video clip showing how the X10 can be used in daily life.
In the video clip Marcus shows how he uses Timescape as the home screen of the phone and has all social media feeds, texts, music and photos easily accessible at the tip of a finger. Marcus also shows how he is using PlayNow for buying music, Market for downloading apps and games and TrackID for finding out what songs are playing at a café or in a store. The integration with YouTube is also shown from different perspectives.
I’m sure many of you who already have bought X10 or have followed this blog might have seen parts of this before but there are also newcomers here and I really think this shows a good glimpse of what to expect from XPERIA X10 and highlights some of its features in a very good way!
Please share among the comments if you have other good examples showing the experience of XPERIA X10!

my phone adds a bombing sound. For any call the other party is getting a noise i.e. kind of bombing. Do any one knows what could be the issue. I already tried updating the OS via SE software update, but no luck. Same done by SE Service Center. Is this a hardware issue.

This phone confuses me. It will go on silent mode randomly. I am not sure how to call someone from the contact book (there is no CALL) button. And how do I prevent some applications from starting up automatically everytime i unlock my phone?

13. Hey, I got some thing in your weblog and actually like it simply because it’s close to reality. Each phrase you chose is coherent with each other and ideas is heavier as prior to.

I have an x10 mini pro (given to me) and I am learning as I go with it.
My problem is when someone phones me – it often goes dead silent. I can call back and same thing. Times me for the call but everything is dead – quiet that is.
Does not fix itself until I turn phone off then back on.
It seems to be happening more and more often.
Can anyone shed some light for me – as I am a little bit slow on understanding this technology.

Hola. I bought a new Sony Ericcson 4 months ago in Germany and I also signed a support contract.
One week ago the phone started behaving badly. It turned itself off and on and it asked several times for the login data. It got worse day by day until it is now not turning back on not even when kept in the charger. I took the battery out and in and I rebooted the system but it is not starting. Please advice what I can do. I am currently in Panama.
Thank you.

I have the same problem of the Xperia x10 turning on/off automatically AFTER activating the “power off” command!
Never had a phone act this way AFTER inputing a command to turn off!
Also, I agree with the frustrating extra steps to call up people from the contact list. There should be a “human” icon on the home screen for contact integration…like other android phones. Opening up the dialer to access the contact list isn’t intuitive at all. Same goes to ending a call. There is no red-colored button on the face. Again, the dialer has to be are-ctivated to end the call!
Overal a frustratin phone…with no phone friendly intuitive features.
Unfortunately, I am stuck with this phone after i needed a replacement after my Pantech had catastrophic Win-OS failure. This was free with an unfortunate 2-year resubscribe with ATT.
My work uses the Moto I-1 that is more user friendly and intuitive. I knew how to work that phone imnmediately. Everything on it makes sense. Incredible intutive engineering. This Xperia needs to go back to being a reliable communication device…not overly concerned with sync’ing FB/Twitter stuff. SE’s main concern should be on communication advancement rather than entertainment apps.
Also, how about more color options than the ubiquitos black/white.

Xperia is a piece of CRAP! Needs to be recharged every 2 days. Recieving speaker is awfully quiet, your recipient won’t hear what you’re saying in 8 times out of 10.
Stupid navigation. Full of bugs and overall just an absolute
lemon! Never buy SE products!
