I noted some of your comments asking for the multi touch support. Having shared our personal experiences using the new UI within our team, we just love it the way it is and think that multi-touch would actually just destroy the simplicity of using these products. To avoid any speculation I can confirm that we do not have any intention to implement multi touch on X10 mini and X10 mini pro.

The multitouch request was never about what your UI team thought. It’s nice that they took the efforts to make it usable with one finger. The value is in the apps, and without multitouch a lot of the Android apps will not work as advertised – and only on your phones.
That’s why at least do keep up with the market. Both of them can co-exist. It seems that it is more of a patents issue with Apple that you are not willing to take up, but HTC is willing to.

Well, at least I found this announcement before deciding on bying the X10 mini. I was almost convinced to buy it, but the lack of multi touch has for my part now made me look elsewhere for my new smart phone.
Should a more recent decision have been made on actually implementing multi touch on X10 mini, please inform me as soon as possible so that I’ll be able to purchase my X10 mini anyway.

Timo, what a pathetic comment by “we just love it the way it is”, ie without multitouch. It demonstrates how such companies as Ericsson and Nokia became arrogant and out of touch with reality, and have no chance against newcomers.
