About this blog

Troed's avatarThis blog is about mobile, and the future. Sometimes more about the other, sometimes less. It’s the blog of Troed Sangberg – me – a futurist at the Sony Ericsson Technology Office.

My background is technical, I’m twice an engineer by education and have been trying to be less of an engineer ever since. My hobbies include studying neurophysiology, psychology, society and culture. I believe it to be impossible to understand disruptive shifts in the world around us without looking at trends much bigger than specific industries – while at the same time specific technological developments can change the whole of society. I spend most of my time effecting change where change is needed, and you’ll often find me doing engaging presentations at various venues. Come listen!

I’ve worked in what’s still known as the mobile industry for well over a decade with development, project leading and directing strategy at companies ranging from Ericsson, Symbian, TietoEnator to Sony Ericsson. I plan to continue doing so, even though I’m not sure there’s still a separate mobile industry.

Oh, and yes. What I post here are personal views and not necessarily official Sony Ericsson strategy. You knew that.
