Is there confirmation that this is a HSDPA Quad-Band phone? (850/900/1900/2100Mhz capable) and not 2 seperate models like previous phones?

White Paper & official website suggests its quad-band but there has been confusion on this for previous models before.

      Hi Alexander,
According to the Xperia S white paper, it is 850/900/1900/2100 capable. The white paper also states LT26i and no other model IDs.
      Thanks and best regards,
      Joe from Developer World

Great phone, nice design and maybe a success, but please do your self a favor and name the phone properly, write his name on the casing so when people ask me what phone i have to be possible for me to prove it is a Xperia S, no offense but Xperia is a family of products not a stand alone product.

    Thank you.

What makes me wondering a bit is: you give users a 720p display, a 12MP cam with Full HD camcorder but you don’t give ‘em a card-slot. Why is this? Of course 32GB of build-in memory are a lot, but especially on your high-end device you should think of all those geeks that always want to have all their music with them + a lot of videos, from self-taken cam vids to full movies. Plus all those 12MP photos taken with the Xperia S. And in this case 32GB are used up very quick. And cloud is not an answer to that.
For me personally 32GB are enough, but again I don’t see a reason to not give a high-end device a card-slot. Or at least a version with 64GB of memory integrated.

Nevertheless I’m really looking forward for getting a Xperia S into my own hands. Maybe this will be my 1st Android device ever as it is the most appealing Android smartphone right now. If Sony doesn’t blow it all up with a bad update support (like all the other manufacturers) they can have a big piece of the Android cake with devices like the Xperia S, I guess.

You make great music & camera phones; but your after sales service in India is hopelessly inadequate. I have a W960i whose resistive touchscreen is almost unusable; for last over an year; &
inspite of my best efforts; I could not get a suitable replacement of the touchscreen from Sony Ericsson service centre in Kolkata, India. I have therefore vowed never to buy a sony Ericsson mobile phone again. Umedmal Jain
