You may remember a month ago today we introduced the new Mobile Phone category within the 2015 Sony Mobile Photography Awards. Well today marks the final day for all you budding smartphone photographers to pick up your handsets and enter.

Those that enter are in for the chance of not only receiving a Sony Mobile product bundle (including the flagship Xperia Z3 smartphone and tablet) but also an invitation to attend the Sony World Photography Awards gala ceremony in London, April 24th.

Entries are free at www.worldphoto.org but close today so get snapping ASAP!

iF Logo copyHere at Sony we strive to consistently deliver products that innovate, particularly when it comes to design. So today we’re very proud to announce that just as last year and many before that, these efforts have again been acknowledged by the iF Design Awards.

We’re thrilled to announce that Xperia Z2 Tablet was singled out and awarded a prestigious Gold prize, with Xperia Z3, smartband, smartband Talk, smartwatch 3, our LifeLog Application, along with a host of other Sony products*, were each awarded iF Design Awards as well.

Since 1953, iF has been dedicated to highlighting and recognising the best efforts within design across the international sphere and with over 5,000 entries from more than 50 countries it’s certainly an achievement worth shouting about.

So congrats all round and fingers crossed we’ll be in the running for 2016!

You’re no doubt familiar with Xperia in Business, our own programme for integrating enterprise with mobile devices, but this week marks the beginning of Google’s own Android for Work initiative, and we’re delighted to partner with them.

Android for Work is driven by four key components and perfectly compliments our Xperia in Business proposition, offering support for work profiles that differentiate between personal and work data, an Android for Work app for older devices, a Google Play for Work store, and a set of new productivity tools for enterprise users. So you really do have no excuse anymore.  So you can add optimised for business to award winning hardware, waterproofed design & superior battery life.

Before we leave you this week – don’t forget (we certainly haven’t) that the 29th Mobile World Congress kicks off on Monday where we’ll be introducing you to a few new things. So if you’re the impatient type and you fancy winning one of our ‘new things’, why not enter our latest competition over at the Xperia Facebook page.

We’ll be ready and waiting in Barcelona, and here on the Sony Mobile Newsroom so stay tuned and keep an out for #SonyMWC
