To start things off this week, we’d like to introduce all you smartwear fans to the latest SmartBand Talk update available now from the Google Play Store.
The latest update will bring a host of new functions and benefits for users including; more customisation possibilities in the form of a new digital watch face style, out-of-range alerts that limits the likeliness of an unexpected lost connection, improved Bluetooth functionality and updated smart Wakeup Alarm functionality. The update brings a newly improved user experience so it’s certainly worth the download if you want to get even more out of your device.
Fashion conscious smartwear fan? Don’t forget to take part in our latest social competition #mysmartwatch3. All you have to do is download the new Sketch app sticker pack, strike a pose using a smartwatch3 sticker and share your individual style with us on Instagram using the hashtag #mysmartwatch3. And it gets even better – the best dressed have a chance to win one of our flagship Xperia Z3 handsets along with their very own smartwatch3.
Now, you may remember back last year we introduced you to Victor, a beautiful White Tailed Eagle who spread his wings and captured the world’s first eagle point of view flight in collaboration with Sony Action Cam & FREEDOM. Victor’s flights showcase Sony’s ongoing support for those reintroducing the White-Tailed Eagle into its natural habitat in the French and Swiss Alps, where Sony Action Cam camcorders are used to film the bird’s behaviour and help monitor re-introduction efforts.
Since his first momentous journey over Paris, Victor has been quite the jet setter recording record breaking, never before seen footage of some of the world’s most impressive landscapes including Dubai and London. This week, we’re pleased to announce he’s back, this time swooping low over the scenic Rhein River towards the Cologne Cathedral in Germany. Check out the latest flight below:
Our first four tutorials were held by photographers J.N. Silva, Ben Thomas, Greg Funnell and Nicanor Garcia who each shared their expertise in low light, perspective contrast and background defocus photography.
The latest tutorial comes from Dan Rubin; a London based designer, creative director and photographer who shares his insight on capturing beautiful shots in everyday situations using a combination of framing, lighting and editing.
Xperia Photo Academy is an online photography hub set up in collaboration with the world’s top photographers, with the aim of showcasing the quality of images that you can capture armed with the right techniques and an Xperia Z3 smartphone – so whether you’re a budding pro or a total beginner there’s no excuse not to start taking some extraordinary photography!
From Xperia Photo Academy to the Sony World Photography Awards, well Xperia themes anyway.
Last week we introduced a new exclusive SWPA Xperia theme in celebration of the awards themselves and it’s gone down a storm, racking up over 17,000 downloads to date. You can grab it here – we’ll update it with new information as soon as the entries open for next year’s competition.
