What a week! Awards, games, films and then yesterday we announced the brand new smartband 2. The wearable is a multi-sensor life logger that provides full-scale insights about your fitness, well-being and stress levels, so you can always stay on top of your health. The accelerometer and heart rate sensors work together to monitor pulse and heart rate variability, meaning you can gauge your overall fitness, excitement and stress levels throughout the day.
Smartband 2 will be available in Black and White at launch and Pink and Indigo at a later date. It will launch across 60 countries from September 2015 so keep your eyes peeled.
One thing smartband 2 would have caught was our hearts racing this week, as we scooped 6 wins at the 2015 EISA awards – the largest editorial multimedia organisation in Europe. Sony received acknowledgement for the following products:
A great achievement!
Elsewhere, if you’re a gamer, you’re probably aware that to celebrate the Phantom Pain release, Sony Japan has launched a Metal Gear smartphone. Sony’s Xperia J1 in disguise will be a limited edition that features custom Outer Haven graphics and comes with ringtones, wallpapers, and an original art book from The Phantom Pain.
You’ll also be able to get your hands on Xperia Z4 Tablet Metal Gear Solid V Edition or the Xperia Z3 Compact Metal Gear slate. And with the release date set for September, you won’t have to wait long to get your hands on them.
This week, Action Cam travelled to The Great North, to capture the beauty of a place that is always frozen. Inspired by the unique relationship that the Inuit people have with their land and their community, Action cam gives us an insight into a way of life on the Baffin islands, Canada. A way of life completely different to anything you will have ever experienced. Action Cams were mounted on a variety of objects and places, from dog sleds to snowmobiles. The camera puts you right at the heart of the team’s breath-taking journey. You can watch the video here .
That’s all from us, have an excellent weekend.
