In a great piece of news, our next-generation flagship, Xperia Z5, has topped the DxOMark mobile rankings – the recognised industry standard for camera and lens image quality measurements and ratings.
An impressive total of 87 points were awarded to the Xperia Z5, as the experts at DxO’s testing labs declared our phone to have the best photo score amongst all devices ever tested by DxO. They were particularly impressed with the camera’s autofocus (the fastest in a smartphone*, no less) and flash, commenting on the good exposure, pleasant white balance and preservation of details in low-light.
Remarking on Xperia Z5’s video capture capability; using Sony’s SteadyShotTM with Intelligent Active Mode, it was stated that the stabilisation was very impressive, also with good autofocus, well ahead of other devices.
Overseen by DxO Labs; a body of industry experts, the DxOMark is the best possible validation a smartphone can receive for image and video capture. For many years, DxO have tested cameras across both the digital, traditional and mobile sectors, and to receive such plaudits from them is a real honour that speaks to the attention to detail and innovation that we pride ourselves in.
Congratulations to everyone that made this happen!
