We’re rounding up the biggest news in Sony and Android and it doesn’t get much more exciting than the announcement that PlayStation® VR will be launching this October. The annual Game Developers Conference was an apt setting for the announcement.

The best part is that straight from the off, PlayStation expects that they will have over 50 games for you to get your hands on! As an extra treat, all those who purchase PlayStation VR systems will receive a PlayStation VR demo disc featuring a whole number of playable experiences from some of the best games in the launch line-up.

We can’t wait to give it a go!

The fun didn’t stop there for PlayStation fans, as it was announced on Wednesday that PlayStation’s brand new app was available to download. The Android app allows all PS4, PS3, and Vita owners to stream films and TV shows obtained from the PlayStation® Store to your smartphones or tablets.

The app is great for anyone who wants to stream already-purchased video content from PS Store to your Android device or purchase new TV shows such as The Walking Dead or Game of Thrones. It’s definitely worth checking out.

A big part of our vision at Sony Mobile is to provide products and services that empower you to do more. To help our users make the most out of their device and to free up their time to enjoy the world around them, we’ve identified 9 apps that will help you to be more productive. Check out our list and let us know which apps you already use and which apps you think should be on the list.
