App developers. Put down those handsets, we need you.

As a part of the upcoming 2017 Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, Sony Mobile is hosting our very own Hackathon and calling upon established and aspiring Android App developers to wow us with their talents.

Those taking part will be challenged to create a variety of imaginative Android apps, unlike anything seen or used before. A unique opportunity to perfect your craft and also be in with a chance of seeing your vision come to life when the next innovative product from Sony, The Xperia Touch, comes out later this year.

The Xperia Hackathon kicks off at 12pm on Friday March 3rd inside San Francisco’s Museum of African Disapora. Teams will then have 24 hours to create, develop and build their app concepts before leading members of the Xperia team review entries.

Registration is free but spaces are very limited so interested participants will need to register here before 23:59 PST today, Monday February 27th.  Successful participants will be notified in advance.
