Whenever a big sporting event comes around, there’s always someone who can reel off facts and figures about teams and players, sometimes helpful, sometimes tedious.  But, good news, in 2018 Xperia Lounge and the History Channel are going to turn you into a soccer scholar.

You won’t learn anything new from us telling you the biggest competition in world football kicks off on the 14thJune, but if you are looking to learn something new about the beautiful game – we do have something that might help.

From now until to June 10, The History Channel will be airing “The History of Football” an in-depth series of programmes over 14 days that look at the sporting events that made such football luminaries and players as Pelé, Maradona, Messi, Ronaldo,Zidane, Villa, Rummenigge, Matthäus and Müller, household names around the world.

We’re planning on catching every episode, but for some, that may be too much of a good thing. Don’t worry if you can’t handle all 14 days, Xperia Lounge is here to help.

Xperia Lounge and The History Channel have worked together to produce shorter versions of The History of Football films and offer football fans a bite-sized taste of the full show:
